Scope of this policy
This policy applies to the Android application Eazy Guitar, published by Eazy Company. It explains real-time microphone processing, information stored locally, optional information sent to the feedback service, and information processed by Google for advertising and purchases.
Data controller and contact
Eazy Company is responsible for the processing activities described in this policy where Eazy Company determines how and why personal data is processed.
Privacy questions may be sent to contact@eazycompany.eu. The operator’s full legal identity and postal address have not yet been supplied and are therefore not invented on this page.
Data processed by the application
Eazy Guitar processes quiz answers, attempts, correct answers, difficulty, elapsed time and score history to provide practice feedback. The tuner and certain scale or position exercises process a live audio stream to estimate pitch. An optional feedback form processes the information the user chooses to submit.
The inspected app does not require an account, remote login or typed profile name. The selectable avatars are predefined app options.
Microphone and tuner
When the tuner or another listening feature is used, microphone input is analysed in real time to estimate pitch. Raw audio is not saved by Eazy Company or retained after the measurement.
The inspected implementation obtains a live PCM audio stream, calculates frequency on the device and stops the stream when listening ends. It does not write the microphone stream to an audio file or upload it to the Eazy Guitar feedback endpoint. Advertising, billing and optional feedback communications remain separate external processing activities.
Local preferences, scores and progress
The app stores the selected predefined avatar and, for each avatar where applicable, the interface language, note-naming system, guitar sound, quiz attempts, correct-answer counts, difficulty, elapsed time and score history. A local premium-entitlement status is also stored to control access and advertising.
Information that remains only on the device is not normally accessible to Eazy Company. When information exists only on your device and has not been transmitted to Eazy Company, Eazy Company cannot access, retrieve or delete it remotely.
Local application information can generally be removed by clearing the application’s data in Android settings or uninstalling the application.
Permissions
The Android app requests microphone permission for the tuner and other listening features. It also declares internet and network-state access for advertisements, Google Play purchases, the optional feedback form and links opened by the user. It does not request camera, contacts, precise-location or notification permission.
Advertising
The current Android version uses Google AdMob to display interstitial advertisements when ads are not disabled by premium access. Where advertisements are enabled, Google AdMob may process device, advertising, consent and advertisement-interaction information to deliver, limit and measure advertisements. This processing is performed by Google and its partners under their own privacy terms and according to the user’s available consent choices.
The inspected source does not include quiz results, avatar preferences or microphone samples as parameters in AdMob requests.
Premium access and purchases
Eazy Guitar offers premium access as a subscription through Google Play Billing. Purchases are processed by Google Play. Eazy Company does not directly receive the user’s complete payment-card details. Google may provide product details, transaction status and purchase information needed to confirm or restore premium access.
The app stores a local entitlement result after receiving purchase status from Google Play.
Notifications
The inspected Android application does not request notification permission and does not include a notification or reminder package. The current version therefore does not send practice reminders or promotional notifications.
Contact, feedback and support messages
Support is optional and is not required to use Eazy Guitar. The in-app feedback form sends the selected feedback type, optional subject, email address, message, platform and app version to an Eazy Guitar endpoint hosted on Google Cloud Functions. Eazy Company receives and uses this information to respond, investigate reported problems, maintain necessary support records and protect legal rights where necessary.
If a user instead emails contact@eazycompany.eu, Eazy Company receives the sender’s email address, message content, attachments and technical information voluntarily included in the request.
Third-party services
- Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads requests, displays and measures interstitial advertisements.
- Google Play Billing supplies product information and processes subscription purchases, status and restoration.
- Google Cloud Functions infrastructure hosts the endpoint used when a user voluntarily submits the in-app feedback form.
These providers operate under their own privacy terms and may process device, advertising, transaction, diagnostic or submitted support information. See Google’s Privacy Policy and the Google Play Terms of Service. No analytics, crash-reporting or remote authentication SDK was identified.
Legal bases for processing
Where the GDPR applies, local processing needed for tuner and learning features may be based on performance of the service requested by the user. Microphone access and consent-based advertising choices may rely on consent where required. Support communications, security and reliability may rely on Eazy Company’s legitimate interests. Purchase processing and transaction records may be needed to provide subscribed access and meet legal obligations.
Data retention
Local application information generally remains on the device until it is removed by the user, reset through the application or Android settings, or deleted when the application is uninstalled. Raw microphone audio is processed as a live stream and is not retained by Eazy Company after measurement.
For feedback forms and messages voluntarily sent to contact@eazycompany.eu, the supplied contact details and content may be retained for the time reasonably necessary to answer the request, maintain support records or comply with applicable legal obligations. No shorter fixed period was verified.
Information processed by Google is retained according to Google’s own policies and the user’s available account, advertising, consent and purchase settings.
Security
Eazy Company seeks to limit unnecessary processing and access to information, including by analysing microphone data without writing an audio recording. However, no application, transmission method or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. This policy does not claim a particular form of encryption.
International processing
Google and email providers may process advertising, purchase or support information in countries outside the user’s country of residence, under their own privacy terms and applicable transfer safeguards. Local preferences and scores are not transmitted by the inspected app solely because they are stored in SharedPreferences.
Your choices
- Refuse microphone permission or revoke it in Android settings.
- Use non-listening features without activating the microphone.
- Manage advertising consent where a Google consent choice is available.
- Manage or cancel the subscription through Google Play.
- Choose whether and what to submit through the optional feedback form or email.
- Clear local application data or uninstall Eazy Guitar.
Your privacy rights
Depending on the applicable law and circumstances, users may have rights to access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent and to lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority. These rights depend on the applicable law and the circumstances of the processing; a request may not apply in every situation.
When information exists only on the user’s device and has not been transmitted to Eazy Company, Eazy Company does not possess that information and cannot retrieve or delete it remotely.
Children’s information
Eazy Guitar does not require a typed name, age or account for its core tools. The target audience selected in Google Play Console cannot be verified from source code and must be compared with the released version, microphone disclosure, advertising treatment and Data safety form.
Changes to this privacy policy
Eazy Company may update this policy when Eazy Guitar features, third-party services or legal requirements change. The revised policy will be published at this URL with an updated date.
